Let’s talk heart cakes!
Heart shape cakes have been really popular here at GG Bakes through-out 2024 and 2025, and there seems to be no sign of that stopping! On average we bake around 10 heart shape cakes a week!
Heart shape cakes are being ordered for all occasions and we love to see our customer’s vision come to life! Whether it’s a vintage style heart cake with ruffles and bows, a floral heart cake covered in flowers, or a cutesy birthday heart cake decorated with berries, we’re firmly in love with them all.
We think the heart shape cake is so popular not only for the versatile look that can be created, but because it’s the ultimate symbol of love, making them the perfect centre piece for any occasion.
The vintage Lambeth-style heart cake has been hugely popular with hand-piped scalloped edges and frilled drapes, often topped with cherries dipped in glitter. We think these look gorgeous in shades of pastel pink, but equally we also love the more dramatic look of black piping on white icing.
Sizes and flavours
Our heart cakes come in three sizes; 6 inch, serving approximately 10-15, 8 inch, serving around 15-20 guests, and a whopping 12 inch that will really create an impact on your special day and serve 75-80 guests.
All our heart cakes can be made in a variety of flavours; vanilla, chocolate, lemon, Biscoff, raspberry and white chocolate (yum, our fav!) or red velvet. You have the option to fill them with the more traditional jam and buttercream, or indulge in Kinder, Nutella, Biscoff or lemon curd.
Each cake can be personalised with either hand piped wording, stamped fondant or cake toppers from a local designer.
Every heart cake we create is homemade at our shop in Bury, Manchester, using locally sourced ingredients. Ideally we’d prefer two weeks’ notice for orders of heart cakes but we will always do our best to fit every order in.
Logistics!
We are more than happy to deliver your heart cake within the Manchester area for an additional fee, but you’re also able to collect from our cake shop six days a week.
